Can not send or receive picture messages (MMS) in Samsung galaxy device

If you can not send or receive picture messages
in Samsung galaxy then the first thing what you will do is you will go to “Settings”. Go to “Device Maintenance”. Select “Battery” and check if you have power
mode enabled. If you have power saving mode enabled, select
“Off”. Now this will turn off the power saving mode
and check if you can send pictures as messages. The next thing what you can do is , go to
“Settings” – “Apps”. Scroll down and look for “Messages”. Select it. Select “Settings”. Select “More settings”- “Multimedia messages”
and make sure that this “Auto retrieve”, it is enabled. Hopefully this should fix
the issue.

  1. I have a Samsung android phone. I recently switched to Pure TalkUSA — whose carrier is ATT. Since I switched to PTUSA, I could not send a text message to multiple recipients or send mms messages with gifs or photos. I called technical support and made sure all of my settings were correct, but it did not correct the problem. Quite by accident, I found out that when my WIFI was turned off, the mms messages did go through. Well, this was a start, but still annoying that I had to turn off WIFI to do send the messages the way I wanted. An internet search finally brought me to a forum and one answer solved my problem. The poster said to turn off WIFI calling. I went into my connection settings and did that and now I can do all the things I was supposed to do. I do not know if this will be a solution for anyone else, but I imagine that there are others like me who are having this problem with ATT/Pure TalkUSA.

  2. Try:
    Turn off Wifi Calling
    Update APN settings.
I manually edited all my At&t apn setting from my note 8 to non working MMS note 8 and it started to work. Best solution would be to search Google for you network apn settings or go to your provider store and copy apn.
PS auto apn setting from your carrier sometimes doesn't work that's why I had to manually input all the fields.
    Note 8 pie click:
    settings >connections>mobile networks>access point names(apn)

  3. Did now work for me have a Samsung J7 sky pro, found the problem, there is nothing wrong with my phone my problem turns out to be had no more data left on my tracfone phone, put $10.00 of data (1GB) new working fine, simple no data no pictures. check your data before going crazy.

  4. Can someone help : so I have a Samsung galaxy a20 and when I try to send a picture or revive a picture .it won't work because it says my data is disabled . Then when I turn my data on it works. Is their a way to receive and send pics on wifi instead of data …would really appreciate feedback

  5. After 4 or 5 hours of trying to get pictures to send or to receive them my partner figured out that he also had to update the PRL after doing all the other things in this video. We are on the Boost network by the way so he also set the network to Automatic. He also changed it to Dark mode, changed the keyboard and the color to the white outline on black with white letters which makes this very easy to see and to hit the keys.
